The Roadrunner Statue
No UTSA graduation session is complete without a photo by the beloved Rowdy the Roadrunner statue. Located near the student union, this spot is packed with school spirit and makes a bold statement in cap and gown photos. Most grads pose with a UTSA hand sign, a big smile, and their diploma in hand.

Out front near the entrance of UTSA is the well-known UTSA sign that welcomes students and families. It’s the first thing many students see when they visit the campus, and the last they’ll pose in front of as graduates — full circle!

One of our favorite celebratory moments is a champagne pop — the perfect way to capture joy, movement, and a little sparkle in your session. We recommend bringing a bottle of non-alcoholic champagne if you're under 21 or want to avoid cleanup, but real bubbly is welcome too!

Colorful, biodegradable confetti cannons are another go-to option. Whether you use one for a solo shot or coordinate multiple with your friends, confetti adds energy and fun to your session. Just be sure to bring an extra bag for cleanup — we love to keep campus beautiful.
